Update!!

Posting for Pink:
The daft old bat thought surgery was minor and that she would be home and well within a few days, sadly when she finally listened the surgery was major (at 4 hours long) and her recovery is going to be a lot longer than originally thought.
Good news is that they removed all the mass and hopefully when they look at it under a 'scope they will be able to tell us what it actually was!
So far she is re-cooperating slowly but surely.
